Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park to boost micro-electronics and semiconductor industries   |

The main day of the conference was focused discussions on a wide range of topics, including“Government perspectives on the development of domestic microelectronics sector”, “Public-Private partnerships between the Government and the industry”, “Government approach to attractinternational investors and partners” and “Lessons learned from emerging markets”.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Trung Quynh, Deputy Director of the HHTP Management Board presented about the overview of HHTP and its preferential policies for investors in hi-tech fields, including semiconductor industry. He also believed the conference would pave the way for expanding sion micro-electronics and semiconductor industries and hoped a strong ecosystem for semiconductor manufacturing would be established in the North of Vietnam in general and HHTP in particular.

Within the framework of the conference, the HHTP and SEMI also signed a MoU to promote partnerships and co-operation between two organisations. The MoU would allow SEMI to promote HHTP to its members and vice versa. It is expected to provide cooperation for local and overseas semiconductor producers and create a good environment for the development of semiconductor products in Viet Nam.

SEMI is the globalUS-based industry association, served for the production supply chain for the micro- and nano-electronics industries, including semiconductors, photovoltaics, high-brightness LED, flat panel display, micro-electromechanical systems, printed and flexible electronics and related micro- and nano-electronics. For more than 40 years, SEMI has supported its members and micro-and nano-electronics industries through programmes, initiatives and actions designed to advance business and market growth worldwide.
